Our Work
We are a diverse, effective and inclusive membership network made up of leading UK-based non-governmental organisations’ (NGO) staff, practitioners, consultants and academics working on gender, development and women’s rights issues. The Network enables its members to share information and expertise, effectively lobby government and international bodies on gender and development issues and provide expert advice and comment on policies and projects. Our members work in partnership with development and advocacy organisations throughout the world
WIDE
The GADN is the national platform for Women In Development Europe (WIDE) in Brussels, which means we represent the UK gender and development sector at a European level with platforms for other countries. We also sit on the WIDE Steering Group and lead on the implementation of WIDE´s yearly plan of activities as well as the sound financial management of WIDE´s resources. Each year we also send representatives from the UK gender and development sector to the WIDE annual conference. To find out more about WIDE and their work, visit their website.
